DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS
All VIS fiberglass body kits, bumpers, lips, side skirts, spoilers, and hoods are made of high quality fiberglass and come with wire mesh if applicable. Professional installation is required. Picture’s that are shown are for illustration purposes only. Actual product may vary due to product enhancement, so please ask the knowledgeable staff any questions or concerns you may have. Modification of part is required to ensure proper fitment. Please keep in mind aftermarket parts do not have the same fitment as OEM factory part. Test fit all body kit parts before any modification or painting (any altering will void returns/exchanges/warranties). Accessories such as fog lights, driving lights, splitter, canards, add-on lips, intake scoops, or other enhancement products are not included unless specified in the product description. Anything listed above that is not on your product would not be qualified as a product defect, but if your issue is due to fitment, pictures are required. The part must be placed upon the vehicle and taken with the vehicle in the picture. Then another picture of the area in question would be needed. To speed up the process, 4-5 pictures total from various angles should cover any other pictures required.
PRODUCT DISCLAIMER
All fiberglass parts require test fitment before prepping, priming and painting. Such professional prep work is required for all fiberglass parts. All aftermarket parts require professional installation. Adjustment of the latches, hooks, brackets are sometimes necessary to ensure a "factory like" fit. These are normal body work and installation steps for all products sold, and additional fiberglass work may be necessary since these are aftermarket parts, and are no way sold or represented as OEM (Original Equipment Market) products. If there are small gaps or trimming that needs to be done prior to painting, this is not considered to be defective, and this is not uncommon with any aftermarket fiberglass companies and their products. Bodywork performed should not be by just any body/collision shop, but the shop should be familiar and skilled in fiberglass aftermarket products. All things listed are not uncommon of any company in regards to fiberglass aftermarket products, and if you feel that your product falls under defect, please refer to that section.

Some items sold by VIS Racing Sports may not be legal for street use in all states. It is the purchasers’ responsibility to comply with applicable state or federal laws. Any goods sold by VIS Racing Sports, Inc., other than as expressly provided in a written agreement between you and VIS Racing Sports, Inc. are sold “as-is” without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, including but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, or the warranty of non-infringement of trademarks, trade dress, copyrights, patents, or other rights held by others.
VIS Racing Sports, Inc. has been at the forefront of automotive restyling since 1996. They started the ultra-aggressive style in body kits for sport compact cars in Southern California. The trend quickly spread from the West Coast to East Coast. In a matter of a few years, their styles can be found in many parts of the globe. This trend culminated with the release of the movie, "Fast and Furious" (2001), in which they were one of the primary sponsors. They were not content with the status quo and continued to bring new products to the restyling scenes. Their carbon fiber hoods and trunks are the de facto standard “Grade A “against which other competitors in the world are measured. Their carbon fiber products are number one in the industry, and their popularity can be seen on the streets as well as car shows alike. They also made inroads into the Japanese market with the help of their partner in Japan. Their products can be seen in Japanese magazines, such as Auto Fashion and Options magazines.
Their participation with Hollywood did not stop in 2001. On the contrary, it was just the beginning. They provided two fully modified ’02 RSX and ’03 Eclipse, with their patented GT Bomber Body Kits and Torque Body Kits; respectively, for the Warner Brother’s movie, “Torque” (2004). The beginning race sequence shows these two street demons racing on the highway. Their latest partnership with Hollywood can be seen in Lindsay Lohan’s “Herbie: Fully Loaded” (2005), in which their patented GT Bomber body kit and EVO style carbon fiber hood were featured on the 1997 Eclipse. On another front, their products are featured in numerous video games with racing themes, some of which include Electronic Arts’ “Need for Speed: Underground 2”, “Juice”, “Forza Motorsport 1 & 2”.
They have gone through many stages of growth, but none can be more drastic than the one they experienced in the year 2004. In 2004, they acquired Wings West, a name that should be familiar to anyone in the restyling industry. It was a much revered brand against which other competitors strived to be second.
They have expanded their warehouse from 45,000 square feet to over 100,000 square feet, their inventory is ample, and they strive to provide the fastest shipping possible.
| Aftermarket Body Kits (Authentic & Replica) |
| Aftermarket body kits, whether authentic or replica will always require extra work to dial-in the fitment to the end-users liking. We highly recommend utilizing a custom professional body shop with aftermarket body kit experience in fiberglass or carbon fiber. Each brand will have different tolerances for fitment. Some will fit better than others. The body kit's material will also come into play (e.g. fiberglass, polyuretehane, carbon fiber, etc). The purchaser/end-user is fully responsible for finding the appropiate body shop and all fees associated with installation, fitment, modifcation, preparation and paint associated with the product. |
| Installation and Paint of Body Kits |
| A professional and custom body shop experienced in aftermarket fiberglass and carbon fiber body kits is required for proper installation and painting of these products. Aftermarket body kits do not fit like OEM products and generally require extra work for optimal fitment. Fitment will be dependent on the quality of the body shop choosen. A dry test fit is required before any modifications and painting is done. Outcast Garage nor the respective manufacturer will not be able to warranty a defective product if it has been modified or painted without a proper dry test fit nor be responsible for any credit towards labor or paint if the product is defective. An inexperienced or incorrect body shop may result in high labor rates, ill-fitting parts, and peeling paint. |
| Fiberglass (FRP) |
| There will always be minor sanding, shaving, cutting, tweaking, adjusting, drilling and/or filling will be required prior to installing these parts. All primer finish included with the parts but be sanded as well as other preparation work required before painting. All fitting and paint preparation is the responsibility of your body shop. The product's respective manufacturer nor Outcast Garage will be responsible for the quality of a body shop's work if it does not meet the customer's expectations. Body kits must be test fitted on the vehicle prior to painting to check for any manufacturer's defect. Any part that is modified is non-returnable and no refund wil be given. |
| Carbon Fiber Care (CF, CFRP) |
| All carbon fiber products will require an automotive-grade clear coat for protection against the sun's UV rays unless the clear coat is included with the product from its respective manufacturer. Products infused with a 'UV Protection Resin Gel' should still be covered with an automotive-grade clear coat. Body kits must be test fitted on the vehicle prior to painting to check for any manufacturer's defect. The product's respective manufacturer nor Outcast Garage will be not not warranty or be responsible for discoloration of the carbon fiber nor be responsible for the quality of the clear coat applied by the body shop if it does not meet the customer's expectations. |
| Hand-Laid Carbon Fiber (CF, CFRP) |
| The 'Carbon Fiber Care' disclaimer also applies to hand-land carbon fiber products. Depending on the complexity and design of the product, there may be a slight and minor shift in the carbon fiber weaves. It is almost impossible to achieve 'perfection' with hand-land carbon fiber. These 'slight and minor shifts' in the carbon fiber weaves does not equate to the product being defective. If the weaves are extreme, and do not fall within an acceptable tolerance, then it will be eligible for a warranty replacement if the product has not been altered in anyway. A warranty claim must be filed first before any further action can be taken. Body kits must be test fitted on the vehicle prior to painting to check for any manufacturer's defect. Outcast Garage will not be responsible for a refused shipment of a carbon fiber product if it does not meet expectations without first initiating a warranty claim and receiving approval. Inspections and refusing of shipments are only for damaged products during transit (cracks, chips, bends, holes, scratches, etc). |
| Polyurethane Care, Installation & Painting (Poly) |
| All polyurethane parts will come raw and unpainted. These parts are flexible so they may slightly warp during shipment. Slightly warped polyurethane parts are not considered defective. They will require a few hours of sunlight to return to its original shape from when it came out of the mold. Polyurethane parts are much different than factory OEM parts and require specific preparation before painting. Improper paint preparation will result in the paint not adhering to the bumper, pin holes and bubbles. It is normal for polyurethane parts to come slightly scratched with imperfections. Proper sanding during paint preparation will remove all imperfections. Please seek a professional and reputable body shop with experience with polyurethane aftermarket parts. Body kits must be test fitted on the vehicle prior to painting to check for any manufacturer's defect. The product's respective manufacturer nor Outcast Garage will not be responsible for the body shop's preparation, fitting and paint job if it does not meet the customer's expectations. |
